Huafatower is a cultural tourism attraction.

Highlights: The only pagoda in Datong. Introduction:

Located on Tasijie Street in the northeastern part of the city. Originally built during the Qing Dynasty and later restored. Beneath the pagoda is a 3-meter-high hexagonal platform, surrounded by decorative flower walls. The entrance is a brick arched doorway with a plaque inscribed with the three characters “小洞大” (Small Cave, Big Meaning). In the past, Buddha statues were enshrined inside the cave. The cave has doorways on both the northern and southern sides, leading up via steps to the exterior base of the pagoda. The pagoda’s base is a Sumeru pedestal, atop which are two circular "vajra rings" in an inverted bowl shape. Above that is the main body of the pagoda, commonly known as the “pagoda belly,” followed by the “pagoda neck.” This section is adorned with eight layers of yellow, green, and purple circular glazed eaves. Above that are the cylindrical-shaped finial and the top ornaments, including the precious canopy and the sacred jewel. Each of the four sides of the pagoda features a small window; above and on either side of these windows sits a Vajra deity, surrounded by decorative ribbons and auspicious clouds. The entire pagoda stands 8 meters tall, is white in color, and has a delicate and graceful appearance.
