Introduction

Apart from the northern Wong Uk Wan, the southern Sok Kwu Wan is another major village on Lamma Island. It is famous for its seafood restaurants. There are quite a few good restaurants here, such as Rainbow Seafood Restaurant, some of which are members of the Hong Kong Tourism Board. The nearest beach, although small, is clean and a 20-minute walk away. On the right side of the pier stands a 150-year-old Tin Hau Temple. Climbing up to Tai Shek Shan at 353 meters in Sok Kwu Wan offers beautiful views.

Transportation

1. There is a ferry from Central Pier No. 4 to Sok Kwu Wan, operating from 7:20 am to 11:30 pm, with return trips from Sok Kwu Wan between 6:45 am and 10:40 pm, every 75 to 120 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes. 2. There are also boats from Aberdeen to Sok Kwu Wan daily between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. 3. It takes about an hour to walk here from Wong Uk Wan.
