Partnering with the hometown association! Travelers with the card can take domestic flights to and from Kinmen, with 12% off in 2024

Good news for travelers who need to go back and forth between Taiwan and Kinmen! A domestic airline recently announced a partnership with the “Kinmen Hometown Association in Taiwan.” As long as you hold a transportation card issued by the association for round trips between Taiwan and Kinmen, you can enjoy a 12% discount off the full fare. Those who are already eligible for discounted fares for outlying island residents can enjoy an additional 12% discount on the already discounted fare. Additionally, cardholders can bring one companion to enjoy the fare discount together.

In addition to the hundreds of thousands of fellow Kinmen people striving in Taiwan, there are also many Taiwanese who, taking advantage of the opening of the mini three links at the time, packed their suitcases, embodied the adventurous spirit of the Taiwanese, and began engaging in cross-strait trade, or chose to settle in Kinmen, making it their second home. TransAsia Airways gives back to the outlying islands by partnering with the “Kinmen County Taiwan Hometown Association” to offer a 12% discount off the full fare for those holding a transportation card issued by the association. Those who are already eligible for discounted fares for outlying island residents can enjoy an additional 12% discount on the already discounted fare. Cardholders can also bring one companion to enjoy the fare discount together (limited to the same flight).

Li Chengzhong, General Manager of TransAsia Airways, said that the Taiwan-Kinmen route was first served by TransAsia Airways. When the airline resumed flights, the first flight was also on the “Songshan–Kinmen” route. TransAsia attaches great importance to serving fellow Kinmen people, so it has recently introduced several feedback measures and is also planning a new “Taichung–Kinmen” route to make it more convenient for Kinmen residents to travel to central Taiwan.

The fare discount program through the partnership between TransAsia Airways and the Kinmen Taiwan Hometown Association will be implemented starting January 1, 2014 (next year).
