More exciting than New Year’s Eve countdowns: Jolin Tsai and Show Lo to headline final concerts at New Taipei Christmas Town

"Absolutely more spectacular than New Year’s Eve celebrations!" the New Taipei City Government announced. New Taipei Christmas Town, recently ranked No. 1 on the "2013 Top 10 Most Romantic Christmas Spots in Taiwan," will host its final two Christmas concerts on December 21 and 22. The events will feature headline performances by Jolin Tsai and Show Lo, marking their last appearances in Taiwan before the end of this year.

The city government noted that the final two concerts will kick off with pop diva Jolin Tsai on the 21st, followed by Show Lo on the 22nd, who will also perform with his dedicated dance group. Not only is the lineup impressive, but the concert stages have been meticulously designed. The city government has invited the creative team behind major award shows such as the Golden Horse Awards, Golden Melody Awards, and Golden Bell Awards to design the stage. The LED screens on both sides of the stage will be extended to create an "angel spreading its wings" visual effect, sure to amaze audiences.

The December 21 lineup includes MP Magic Power, Da Mouth, Amber An, Bii, Dream Girls, Huang Xiaobo, and Jia Jia. On the 22nd, performers will include Ding Dang, Yang Pei-An, Annie Yi, Guan Shimin, Michael Wong, and the band Qiang Bian. The city government also emphasized, "Show Lo will bring something new (to his performance)!" The public can look forward to it.

The "limited-time-only" Christmas Post Office will also launch a "Future Postcard" event starting at 2 PM on the 22nd, where visitors can send Christmas postcards to their future selves. From now until the 23rd, visitors can go toNew Taipei Travel’s Facebook fan page, select their favorite headlining star, and leave a comment saying "I want to party with them at the 2013 New Taipei Christmas Town!" to have a chance to win limited-edition signed albums from singers like Jolin Tsai, Show Lo, and Xie Jin Yan.

Starting at 1 PM on the 20th, traffic control will be implemented around the city government area. After 8 PM, New Station Road (from County Citizen Boulevard to Zhongshan Road section) will be fully closed in both directions. Starting on the 21st, flexible traffic controls will also be enforced on Xin Fu Road and County Citizen Boulevard.
