Qingming Festival coincides with a long weekend holiday! National airlines add 70 extra flights to outlying islands, offering nearly 6,200 additional seats

This year, the Qingming Festival falls during a three-day long weekend holiday. In response to the surge in travelers returning home, national airlines have planned additional flights, adding nearly 6,200 seats. Booking will open simultaneously via phone and online at 9:00 AM on March 20.

Uni Air stated that the Qingming holiday extra flights include Taipei–Taitung routes, as well as round-trip services between Taipei and Taichung to Kinmen, and between Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung to Magong (Penghu), totaling 70 additional flights and nearly 6,200 extra seats. The airline hopes this will effectively alleviate the difficulty passengers face in securing tickets.

Uni Air reminds passengers to complete ticket issuance within two days after booking. Seats not ticketed within the time limit will be released for other travelers. The airline also encourages passengers to use its 24-hour website, mobile app, or visit 7-ELEVEN and use the ibon convenience service kiosk to complete both booking and ticket purchase in one go. This not only saves time and offers convenience but also allows the purchase of tax-free air tickets from outlying islands to the main island.
