Attention travelers planning to take island-hopping flights during the Qingming holiday！In response to the high demand for air travel over the Qingming break, domestic island-controlled routes will begin unified seat reservations starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, April 6. Airlines have also added flights and deployed larger aircraft to meet holiday demand. Key island routes including Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu will offer a total of 1,232 flights and 121,622 seats, with additional services to be added as needed based on demand.

In response to the suspension of flights by TransAsia Airways, the Civil Aeronautics Administration has also taken domestic routes into account when allocating cross-strait flight rights. Regarding route capacity, the Penghu route (excluding the Magong-Kinmen route) will provide 584 flights and 54,182 seats; the Kinmen route will offer 534 flights and 59,650 seats; and the Matsu route will have 114 flights and 7,790 seats.

The Civil Aeronautics Administration stated that flight tickets from Taiwan to the islands from March 31 to April 2, and from the islands back to Taiwan from April 3 to April 5, will be marked with usage restrictions stating “valid only for the departure date and flight” and “void if not used on time.” Travelers are reminded that if they are unable to take their originally scheduled flight, they must notify the airline to cancel the booking before the flight departs, and process ticket refunds at the original point of purchase in accordance with the original ticket terms, in order to protect their own rights.
