Fans of dried flowers must have heard of Huayishi, but did you know it opened a second location? Also located in Taipei’s “Black Kite,” the new shop follows the brand philosophy of Huayishi — “where the plague of flowers is cultivated, and a wonderful epidemic begins to spread.” In addition to using dried flowers for interior décor, it also offers a variety of savory dishes, allowing customers to enjoy both photography and delicious meals. As it has only recently started operating, it’s not as packed as the first branch, so you can take your time snapping gorgeous photos and channel your inner flower fairy!

Black Kite is located on Heping East Road in Taipei’s Da’an District, near the Technology Building MRT Station. Though convenient to reach, it’s tucked away in a residential area and easy to miss as you pass by. The store has a pure white exterior, decorated around the perimeter with plants and plenty of floral arrangements that become even more enchanting in the sunlight. The interior combines Japanese and industrial styles, offering a fresh yet distinctive vibe — much like their desserts, which are sweet but not cloying, making it easy to spend an entire afternoon here.

The venue is a three-story building: the first floor is the café, the second houses the Huayishi studio, where aside from selling dried flowers, floral materials, and vases, there’s also a small section for accessories; the third floor is designed as a classroom that occasionally hosts flower arrangement workshops. Unlike the compact first branch, Black Kite offers significantly more space, including a courtyard in addition to the main structure, along with about 20 seats — making it more comfortable for both photos and meals.
