The Tarim River Scenic Area is a cultural tourism attraction.

Introduction Located in Yuli County, 105 kilometers from downtown Korla. This scenic area is known as the "800-li Green Corridor." The Tarim River basin is an oasis in the desert, where pristine populus euphratica forests and the medicinal plant apocynum grow. Visitors to this area must not miss the sights of sunrise and sunset over the desert, experiencing the poetic imagery described by the great Tang Dynasty poet Wang Wei: “In boundless desert lonely smokes rise straight; over endless river the sun sinks round.” You can also ride a camel across the dunes and explore the daily life of local residents. Within Yuli County, there are also historic sites such as the Ancient Tomb Valley, Ancient Camp Ruins, Kuluk Mountain Petroglyphs, and Yakulun Beacon Tower.
