When is the best time for flowers to bloom in Provence?
Provence has six main lavender-growing regions, with different flowering periods across locations. However, the lavender season in southern France generally runs from mid-June to early August. Typically, in warmer areas, lavender is harvested after July 20th, while other regions harvest until August 15th.
But we highly recommend planning your trip before mid-July, as you can also see the sunflowers then. Just note that the sunflower season is very short and they’re usually gone after mid-July. So why not make the trip all the way there to witness two breathtaking flower seas in one go～
