Wei Du Water World is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Wei Du Water World is the largest and most comprehensively equipped indoor water park in Shanxi Province and even North China, as well as the most all-encompassing eco-tourism and leisure complex in the region. The park features 14 well-known tropical plants, creating a natural oxygen bar. With a variety of entertainment options suitable for visitors of all ages, it is a must-visit destination for family and friends outings. In addition to its focus on water-based entertainment, the park also offers a range of agricultural activities, creating a comprehensive agricultural science and technology tourism site that fills a gap in Datong’s integrated eco-tourism offerings.

Located at the southern end of Datong's main thoroughfare — Weidu Avenue, Wei Du Water World includes an indoor water park, hot spring baths, Korean-style sauna, a variety of themed restaurants, hotel rooms, multi-functional meeting rooms, a VR science and technology museum, a high-tech fruit and vegetable garden, agricultural picking, and more. The large water play area features fun water villages, rainbow racing slides, a giant funnel slide, open raft slides, water flying dragon slides, a sky loop slide, storm valley slides, high-speed slides, the beast bowl slide, open spiral slides, crazy tsunamis, tidal rivers, swimming pools, and other facilities. The second phase project includes the largest indoor children’s playground, an artificial lake, specialty wine cellars, and a large-scale Ferris wheel amusement park. The third phase will feature the largest indoor ski resort in China.
