Shaanxi Grand Mosque is a cultural tourism attraction.

Introduction: The mosque was originally built during the Qianlong and Jiaqing reigns of the Qing Dynasty. In 1906 (the 32nd year of the Guangxu reign), it was renovated and expanded.

Unlike other mosques in the urban area, the main prayer hall of Shaanxi Grand Mosque features the traditional brick-and-wood architectural style of central China, with glazed tile roofing. It faces east and stands over ten meters high. The front part of the prayer hall is a single-eave hip-and-gable roof structure, supported by 40 bright red pillars that uphold the beams, giving it an elegant and majestic appearance.

The archways are inscribed with verses from the Quran, and the exquisite craftsmanship is truly remarkable. The rear section is the Moon-Watching Tower, where the imam ascends to observe the moon and announce the beginning and end of Ramadan fasting periods. It is an octagonal pavilion with an upper tier of eight and a lower tier of four eaves. This architectural form is very rare in Xinjiang.
