Urumqi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a Xinjiang cultural heritage conservation unit, a classic red tourism site, and a patriotic education base.

Urumqi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is located in Yan’erwo, a scenic area in the southern suburbs of the city, hence it is also known as the "Yan’erwo Martyrs' Cemetery." It lies to the east of Yan’er Cliff and to the west of the Urumqi River. The cemetery covers an area of over 700 acres. Here, ancient trees stand densely and flowers bloom vibrantly, creating a serene environment.

Within Urumqi Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery, the memorial altar is lined with the tombstones of martyrs such as Chen Tanqiu, Mao Zemin, Lin Jilu, Qiao Guozhen, and Wu Maolin. The cemetery also houses the ashes of other martyrs. This site has been designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region. Every year around Qingming Festival, tens of thousands of people come here to pay their respects, mourn the revolutionary martyrs, and enjoy the spring scenery.

As a "National Hundred Patriotic Education Demonstration Base," "National Hundred Classic Red Tourism Sites," "National Key Martyrs' Memorial Building Protection Unit," "Autonomous Region Integrity Education Base," "Urumqi City Ethnic Unity Education Base," and "National Defense Education Base," the martyrs' cemetery vigorously promotes the communist spirit, patriotism, and revolutionary heroism of the martyrs. Its various undertakings have received widespread recognition, earning it numerous honors including national AAA-level scenic spot, National Advanced Collective in Red Tourism Work, National Civil Affairs System Model Unit for Professional Ethics, Autonomous Region Civilized Unit, Autonomous Region Model Unit for Professional Ethics, Autonomous Region Health Flagship Unit, and Urumqi City Model Unit for Public Security. These achievements provide strong spiritual impetus for promoting social stability and enduring peace in the regional capital and across Xinjiang, elevating the cemetery’s mission of "honoring the martyrs, educating future generations, and upholding ethnic unity."
