Former Site of Mao Zemin's Office and Residence

The Former Site of Mao Zemin's Office and Residence is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

The Former Site of Mao Zemin's Office and Residence is part of the Mao Zemin Memorial, located on Mingde Road in Tianshan District, Urumqi. This was where Mao Zemin worked and lived during the War of Resistance Against Japan in Xinjiang. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, in order to carry forward the legacy and revolutionary spirit of the martyrs, the places where the martyr Mao Zemin once lived, worked, and resided were restored to their original appearance and turned into a memorial site for people of all ethnic groups to pay tribute.

On October 7, 2019, the Former Site of Mao Zemin's Office and Residence was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
