Guide The Hami Kalilike Glacier is located 10 kilometers south of the Yan Chi Township government, at an altitude of 4,888 meters. To this day, it remains an unclimbed virgin peak. Introduction This area is covered in snow all year round and is home to 63 glaciers of varying sizes. Especially noteworthy is the flat-top glacier on Kalilike Mountain, which spans approximately 0.7 square kilometers. The alpine lake beside the flat-topped mountain rivals the beauty of Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, and is known as a solid natural reservoir. It is also the source of the beautiful Yiwu River.

The glacier stands like a serene maiden embraced by surrounding mountains. At the foot of the mountain lies a natural waterfall, cascading down with the force of a thousand galloping horses—unstoppable. The droplets splashed by the rocks below drift like mist and smoke, forming rainbows under the sunlight.

At the mountain’s base lies a natural grassland, where the green turf carpets the hillsides. The herders’ yurts dot the landscape like white flowers, while flocks of sheep drift slowly through the mountains like patches of cloud. Sometimes real clouds roll in, shrouding the whole scene in a hazy, mysterious beauty. In winter, after a fresh snowfall, the landscape becomes a true winter wonderland, breathtakingly beautiful. It moves every visitor deeply, inspiring awe at the magnificence, splendor, and mystery created by nature. It is a great destination for travel, exploration, and scientific research.
