How much are you willing to give up and sacrifice to achieve your dreams?
As reported by BuzzFeed, a young American couple grew tired of their corporate jobs two years ago and decided to quit in pursuit of their dreams as a journalist and a photographer. Guillaume Dutilh, 28, and his wife Jenna Spesard, 30, embarked on their journey with their dog Sal and a tiny home they spent a year building.

Their journey has now lasted six months, covering 11,000 miles — starting in Los Angeles, traveling through Illinois, and then heading north along the East Coast into Canada. “People we’ve met on the road have been very supportive, often offering us driveways, electricity, and water. Their smiles have been a great source of encouragement!” said Dutilh.

They’ve also met many fellow travelers. “We’ve encountered others who are also traveling in ‘tiny homes.’ They tend to be more open-minded, not driven by money but by freedom, enjoyment of life, and appreciation for the beautiful scenery around them.” They document these people’s thoughts through writing and photography.

In fact, another reason they chose this lifestyle is their concern for environmental issues. “Because our house is so small, we use very little energy, which means a relatively small impact on the environment,” said Dutilh. As long as they’re not losing money, they plan to keep going to fulfill their dreams of becoming travel journalists and photographers.
