Hami Muqam Heritage Center

The Hami Muqam Heritage Center has a construction area of 4,875 square meters and covers a land area of 1,600 square meters, with a main structure of four floors.

The first floor mainly includes a performance hall, classrooms, dormitories, a resource room, an external square, a stage control room, storage rooms, and other facilities used for the inheritance of Muqam;

The second-floor lobby, spanning over 900 square meters, primarily displays the origin, development, and evolution of the Twelve Muqam of the Uyghur along its surrounding walls. Through images, murals, text, sculptures, and other artistic forms, it comprehensively showcases the cultural style, characteristics, and content of the “treasure of human cultural heritage—Uyghur Muqam.” The lobby space is mainly used as a venue for small to medium-sized winter performances.

The eastern part of the third floor houses a performance hall that can accommodate 60 people for specialized shows. It not only provides rehearsal space for Muqam inheritors but also serves as a small venue for visitors to enjoy Muqam art. The western half of this floor is dedicated to the Hami Muqam Exhibition Hall, which presents the origin, inheritance, development process, as well as the historical, cultural, and artistic value of Hami Muqam.

The fourth floor is mainly used as an exhibition space for various levels of intangible cultural heritage in the Hami region that have been submitted for recognition.
