Bretton Sea West Sea Water Conservancy Scenic Area

The Bretton Sea West Sea Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Beitun Bretton Sea West Sea Style Park is located on the western coast of Bretton Sea, at the confluence of the freshwater zone (Xiao Haizi) and the saline zone of the Bretton Sea, serving as the terminal section of the Ulungur Lake. It is 22 kilometers from Beitun and 82 kilometers from Altay City. This area is a necessary route from Beitun to Kanas.

(I) The scenic area mainly consists of seven functional zones: 1. Black Mountain Sea-Viewing Scenic Zone; 2. Lakeside Water Recreation Zone; 3. Visitor Reception and Service Zone; 4. Peninsula Leisure Sightseeing Zone; 5. Coastal Fishing Village and Folk Culture Zone; 6. Seaside Scenic Experience Zone; 7. Sandy Dyke Island Maritime Charm Zone.

(II) Twelve Major Scenic Spots in the Area: 1. Black Mountain Sea View; 2. Vast Misty Waters; 3. Meandering Sandy Dykes; 4. Intertwined Sunset and Mist; 5. Lake Patrol and Sea Viewing; 6. Seabird Island; 7. Seaside Villas; 8. Reed Marsh and Birdsong; 9. Pier Fishing; 10. Seaside Bathing Beach; 11. Seaside Fishing Village; 12. Themed Dining.

(III) Plant and Animal Resources: The project area boasts abundant plant and animal resources. The main crops grown on the farm include wheat, rice, corn, beans, oilseed crops, and feed; the main forestry and fruit resources are black poplar, followed by oleaster, various hybrid poplars, desert poplar, bitter poplar, white willow, and elm. The farm raises livestock such as elk, cattle, horses, donkeys, pigs, sheep, minks, chickens, and ducks. The scenic area and its surrounding regions are primarily focused on agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, with virtually no pollution sources. The air is clean, the river water is clear, and apart from the tourism season, there has been no discharge of wastewater, waste residue, or waste gas. The scenic area is strictly managed according to law, as are tourism activities and visitors. The environment remains in a largely natural and healthy state.
