Introduction: Baihaba is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Streams from the snow-capped mountains converge into a small river that flows through the village and joins the border river at the end of the village — this is the Baihaba River. On one side of the river live the Kazakhs, and on the other, the Tuva people. Along the China-Kazakhstan border, there stands a boundary marker inscribed with the fiery red characters “中国…” (China…).
