Burqin Ronghe Folk Culture Park

Jointly developed by Xinjiang Ronghai Investment Company and the Burqin County Government, and leveraging the municipal planning advantage of the Burqin County Government to build the South Bridge and riverside landscape belt, this project is a key tourism infrastructure initiative of Burqin County in 2005. The Ronghe Folk Culture Park is situated on Minzu Road along the Ertix River, stretching from Xiangyang South Road in the east, to Binhe Road in the south, to the Soybean Processing Factory in the west, and to Minzu Road in the north. It covers an area of 47,164.3 square meters.

The Ronghe Folk Culture Park encompasses three major zones:

1. Scenic Viewing Area: Along Binhe Road, typical Russian-style architecture has been constructed, along with historic Russian-style landscapes, docks, pontoon bridges, and other cultural elements left over from the China-Soviet shipping era. Miniature cultural features such as "Grassland Stone Figures," "Slogan Gates," and Russian-themed sculptures have also been integrated to create a diverse river port theme park rich in Burqin characteristics. Visitors can not only sightsee, take photos, and reminisce about the era of friendly China-Soviet exchanges in the long river of history, but also immerse themselves in the continuously performed ethnic shows on the Russian Cultural Square — featuring Kazakh, Mongolian, and Russian styles — experiencing the vodka-like exuberance of Sino-Russian cultural exchange through enthusiastic interaction.

2. Treasure Hunt & Food Zone: The commercial pedestrian street is the main structure of the Ronghe Folk Culture Park. The entire Section A, as well as Sections B and C along Binhe Road, serve as shopping, leisure, department store, and supermarket areas, showcasing a concentration of ethnic handicrafts, travel supplies, rare stones and jewelry, ethnic herbs, floral honey essential oils, folk costumes, dried fruits, and specialty dried and fresh fish products. The Sections B and C areas near Minzu Road offer a rich variety of local snacks, folk cuisine, and farmhouse flavors. The most popular Burqin Riverside Night Market, authorized by the county government, has been exclusively managed by the company since 2007. In contrast to the folk song and dance performances at the cultural square in front of Section A, it will form an all-night vibrant street filled with music and delicious food. The second floors of Sections B and C house a large ethnic song and dance banquet hall, which, in addition to hosting various groups, conferences, and banquets during peak seasons, can also meet the needs of high-end, distinctive receptions for government and various organizations.

3. “Burqin Time” Thirty-Li Ertix River Themed Cultural Tour: Starting from the theme park of the Folk Culture Park, visitors take bamboo rafts downstream along the Ertix River, enjoying the views of the Thirty-Li Ertix River Scenic Belt, and finally disembark at the colorful and enchanting Five-Color Beach for sightseeing. In the evening, they return to the park to enjoy gourmet treasure hunting and watch exotic cultural performances, transforming what used to be a dull and monotonous stay in the city into a vivid and enriching experience. Additionally, through government-designated tourism evaluations and recommendations of premium branch routes, “Burqin Time” has been incorporated into the travel schedules of major agencies for Kanas tours, eventually forming a uniquely distinctive premium branch route within the Kanas tourism itinerary.
