The Bayluke Tourist Scenic Area in Yumin County is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Bayluke Mountain is located in the central-southern part of Yumin County. Stretching from east to west, the Bayluke Mountain Range is the iconic mountain range of Yumin County.

Experienced travelers who have visited Bayluke Mountain have described it as “a world of flowers, a garden of wild plants, and a natural museum of wildlife.”

Bayluke Mountain features landscapes reminiscent of the Scottish highland meadows, New Zealand’s alpine regions, canyons, forests, grasslands, and lakes, as well as unique cultural attractions such as the Little Poplar Sentry Post and the Sun Longzhen Martyrs' Cemetery.

The Bayluke Tourist Scenic Area is situated on the southern side of Yumin County in the Tacheng region, centered around the Bayluke Mountain Range. It offers a variety of scenery including snow-capped mountains and grasslands, making it exceptionally beautiful and an ideal spot for photography. From May to July each year, the grasslands burst into bloom, creating an especially breathtaking sight. Additionally, the Bayluke Mountain Range is also a classic route for outdoor adventure enthusiasts who enjoy hiking and trekking.

The Bayluke Scenic Area covers a vast expanse and is suitable for exploration by car, allowing visitors to capture the beauty of the grasslands and mountain landscapes. There are also Kazakh herders’ yurts available for accommodation. Every year from May to July, a Mountain Flower Festival is held on the grasslands, where visitors can enjoy the flowers, take photos, and even pick the valuable safflower silk. The area offers a rich variety of activities.

In addition, for hiking and adventure enthusiasts, trekking from north to south across Bayluke Mountain is considered the most classic hiking route. The trek begins at the Valley Resort by the Tast River in Yumin County, crosses the Bayluke Mountain’s main watershed via the Aiyi Pass, and reaches the Tuoli Pasture in Tuoli County to the south of the mountain. It then continues along the mountain path to the Tuoli–Alashankou Highway. This route is approximately 90 kilometers long, with altitudes ranging between 1,700 and 2,600 meters, and takes about four days to complete. However, it is definitely not suitable for casual hikers and should be undertaken with a professional team. It is highly recommended to hire a local guide.
