Introduction Climbing Bogda Peak is extremely challenging. Ascending via the gorges on the northern slope of Bogda Mountain, you can enjoy lush green pastures and also explore a world of thick snow and solid ice. The glaciers and snow on Bogda Peak shine with bright white light all year round, reflecting beautifully against the turquoise waters of Tianchi Lake in the valley, creating a uniquely scenic summer retreat.

Bogda Mountain boasts thousands of majestic peaks and charming valleys, offering breathtaking scenery. It features dense primeval forests that blot out the sun and picturesque mountain meadows. Near the snow line, snowcocks make their home, while snow leopards are occasionally spotted. In the deep forests, the calls of red deer echo, and roe deer, brown bears, lynxes, and blue sheep can be seen lurking. The grasslands are covered with vibrant wildflowers in a riot of colors, and wild medicinal herbs such as fritillaria, codonopsis, lithospermum, astragalus, and bupleurum grow in abundance. The mountain also contains dozens of mineral resources including coal, siderite, and mica.

Every summer, melting snow feeds over 30 rivers, irrigating the fertile oases and plains at the mountain’s base.
