West Small Heavenly Lake

West Small Heavenly Lake is located beside the road two kilometers at the foot of Heavenly Lake. It is a barrier lake formed during ancient glacial movements and is primarily replenished by water from Heavenly Lake. The surface of West Small Heavenly Lake is round as a full moon, with clear and deep waters. Surrounded by towering Tianshan spruce trees, the lake reflects the shadows of the pines. On clear nights when the bright moon hangs in the sky, the still reflection sinks into the water, creating an exquisitely serene scene, which is why it is also called "Dragon Pool and Emerald Moon." A waterfall cascades down beside the lake, like a galaxy falling to earth, scattering pearls and splashing jade, hence known as the "Silver Curtain of the Jade Pool." At the mountaintop above the lake stands the Taotao Pavilion, delicate and uniquely charming.
