Huā'ér Gōu

Huā'ér Gōu is located in the low mountainous belt of the Sangong River Basin, featuring an open terrain with undulating and winding landforms. It is characterized mainly by low mountain grasslands and geological landscapes. In spring, it becomes a sea of flowers, earning the reputation as the "Valley of Ten Thousand Flowers." The valley is home to ancient elm trees, secondary forests, birch groves, and shrubs. The mountain terraces include drip irrigation areas and natural grasslands. The Sangong River, from the mountain entrance to the Shixia Gorge, successively exposes Cenozoic, Mesozoic, and Paleozoic strata. Within a distance of less than 20 kilometers, nearly 350 million years of Earth's history are revealed, with striking geological sections forming a veritable "tunnel of time." The Huā'ér Gōu scenic area offers recreational activities such as skiing (or grass skiing) fields.
