Xinhe Folk Culture Village

Chenjin Township's Xinhe Village is located 8 kilometers southwest of Longde County, with an average altitude of 2,650 meters. A small river runs from east to west through the center of the village. The area features ecological tourism resources such as Yuejia Gorge, lush forest vegetation, and a rich folk culture atmosphere, making it well-suited for the development of rural tourism.

Starting in 2015, Xinhe Village has aimed to become a distinctive rural tourism destination. It has constructed traditional-style farmsteads, built a cultural corridor for agritainment, and erected an archway modeled after the ancient “Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars,” using the principle of “filial piety is the foremost of all virtues” as a model. The village has been renovated and upgraded with a blend of traditional cultural elements and innovative ideas. In conjunction with the restoration of the ecological relocation area, a high-platform Horse Opera (Ma Shehuo) transmission and performance base has been established, developing eco-tourism, agritainment, leisure farms, and beautiful countryside initiatives as part of its cultural tourism ecosystem.

Supported by Longde County’s rural tourism infrastructure construction project, Xinhe Village has implemented a comprehensive poverty alleviation program for impoverished villages, focusing on both infrastructure development and industrial cultivation. The plan includes constructing essential infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, roads, parking lots, and tourist public toilets within the village, as well as fostering the growth of agritourism ventures like farmhouse stays, fruit-picking gardens, and fishing ponds, thereby achieving tourism-driven poverty alleviation through industrial development.
