Longde Museum

Longde Museum is located on the west side of Wenhua Street in Longde County. It covers an area of 22,000 square meters, with a building area of 6,930 square meters, an exhibition area of 5,230 square meters, and public space of 1,700 square meters. It is a comprehensive local museum integrating exhibition, collection, research, exchange, and education.

The museum houses a collection of more than 2,800 cultural relics (sets), including 3 first-class relics, 65 second-class relics (sets), and 575 third-class relics (sets).

The exhibition theme is “Silk Road Liupan: A Millennium of Longde.” The displays are divided into sections such as “Prelude Hall,” “Ancient Times,” “Prelude to Civilization,” “Harmony of Huaxia and Rong Tribes,” “Opening of the Silk Road,” “—Song,” “Struggles between Tibetans and Han,” “Frontier Fortress,” “Legacy of Traditions,” “Happy Homeland,” “Temporary Exhibition Hall,” and “Public Experience Hall.” The exhibition follows a chronological thread to present the historical development of Longde from multiple perspectives, highlighting the diversity and regional characteristics of its history and culture.

In May 2011, it was designated as a “Patriotic Education Base” and a “National Defense Education Base” by the Longde County Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People’s Government of Longde County. In July 2012, it was named a “National Defense Education Base” by the National Defense Education Committee of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
