Guoluo Goddess Peak

The "Goddess Peak" of the Guoluo Grassland, locally known as "Jiamaduo." In Tibetan, "Jiam" means "Han girl," and "Duo" means "stone." Jiamaduo is located on a lush, carpet-like grassy mountain about ten li east of Gad County in the Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. There are two massive rocks together, each over the height of a house. From a distance, the slightly lower one looks like a person bending forward, as if ready to call out; the taller one resembles someone gazing into the distance, staring intently at the snow-capped Maji Mountain ahead, yearning with longing. Their posture and mood blend seamlessly with the endless snow mountains, the vast grassland, and the winding river, evoking an inevitable sense of desolation and unease.
