The Haixi Bayin River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Haixi Bayin River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located within the territory of Delingha City and is built along the Bayin River, belonging to a natural river and lake-type water conservancy scenic area. The scenic area spans 397 square kilometers, including 240 square kilometers of water area. Delingha City in Haixi Prefecture lies in the Qaidam Basin and is a radiant pearl of the Gobi Desert. The Bayin River, its mother river, flows through the urban section of Delingha, serving as an ideal spot for leisure and recreation for local residents. The memorial monument and museum of the famous poet Hai Zi are situated by the river. The Bayin River flows through Toson Lake and eventually into Kuku Lake. These two lakes, known as the "Dalian Lakes," consist of one small and one large, one freshwater and one saline, and are referred to as the "Lover Lakes." The area features attractions such as the Quanziang Ancient Biological Relics on Quanshui Liang, riverside and lakeside wetlands, vast wolfberry forests, the Qinghai Observation Station of the Purple Mountain Observatory, Yardang landforms, and desert-Gobi landscapes. The scenic area boasts a rich Mongolian cultural atmosphere, regularly hosting traditional ethnic events such as the Nadam Fair and Oboo worship ceremonies, making it an ideal destination to experience local ethnic culture.
