The deepest impression: there are still more good people in the world
Along the way, Wang Lansheng met many warm-hearted people who continuously moved him.
While cycling in Liaoning, he would speed up, and a car behind would also drive faster; when he slowed down, the car would slow too. Wang stopped at one point, and the car pulled over beside him. The woman driving got out and asked if he was facing any difficulties. When she learned he was cycling to Hainan to promote his hometown, Harbin’s Acheng District and its Golden Dragon Mountain, she immediately gave him a thumbs-up and took out water and milk from her car for him to drink on the road. To avoid adding weight, Wang had to politely decline, but the concern touched him deeply. When Wang reached Tianjin, he encountered another such kind soul. A Ms. Wang, upon learning he was cycling to Hainan to promote his hometown, gave him a 200-yuan phone card. On January 6, 2012, the day before returning to Harbin, Wang specially called Ms. Wang to let her know he had arrived home safely.
Along the journey, many people offered Wang food and lodging, encouraging him to keep going. Even elementary school students would shout “Go for it!” to him as they saw him pass by.
