Introduction The word "Keluke" comes from Mongolian, meaning "lush grassy marshland or a place abundant with water plants." It is located in the eastern part of the Qaidam Basin and is a slightly brackish freshwater lake. With crystal-clear waters and a calm surface, the scenery here is enchantingly beautiful. Every early spring, when the ice on Lake Keluke begins to melt, flocks of rare birds such as black-necked cranes, bar-headed geese, fish gulls, and wild ducks fly here from distant Southeast Asian islands to build nests and raise their young. Black-necked cranes prefer to nest and inhabit the marshlands and reed beds around the lake, while bar-headed geese and grey geese make their nests on the sand dunes. This place is a paradise for birds and a home for fish, with the cooing and honking of birds echoing through the reeds, bringing endless joy. Lake Keluke and Lake Toson, collectively known as Lake Talian, form a national nature reserve.

Lake Keluke has reception facilities including a dock, yachts, motorboats, and tent restaurants. In the fishing area, you can watch fish farm workers catching fish. The Qaidam carp caught in the lake can weigh over ten kilograms, with tender and delicious meat. The lake is also rich in Chinese mitten crabs.
