Delingha Gahai National Wetland Park

Gahai Lake is a saltwater lake located about 30 kilometers from Delingha City and is an important wetland in the Qaidam Basin. A seemingly insignificant little insect—brine shrimp (also known as Artemia), also called "fengnian shrimp"—has brought Gahai Lake into the public eye from time to time. Brine shrimp eggs are an important feed in the aquaculture industry, with prices once soaring to 700,000 yuan per ton, earning them the nickname "soft gold."

Qinghai Delingha Gahai National Wetland Park is located in Delingha City, Qinghai Province, with a total area of 11,229.4 hectares.
