Xianmi Temple is the most famous Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the Menyuan area, located more than fifteen kilometers from Haomen Town. It is embraced by the majestic ranges of the Lenglong Ridge at the head of the mountain cluster and the world-renowned Qilian Mountains, offering an exceptionally tranquil environment. The entire temple complex is built along the mountainside, ascending gradually from low to high. Viewed from below, the staggered structures resemble pavilions and towers, creating a spectacular sight. The complex consists of a main hall, a smaller hall, Buddha shrines, monks' quarters, a garden, and other uniquely designed buildings. Originally named "Xianming Temple," 16. Zhugui Temple: Zhugui Temple is one of the ancient Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Menyuan, situated in Jiefang Village within the Zhugui Gorge. Surrounded by mountains and facing water, it boasts beautiful scenery. Constructed in the first year of the Shunzhi era (1644) under the supervision of Zanbu Duanzhi Gyatso from the Ganden Jangtse College of Tibet’s Drepung Monastery, the temple follows the contours of the mountain, with its structures arranged in a staggered fashion along a crescent-shaped slope. At the front stands a white pagoda with a golden spire, behind which are symmetrically aligned the main hall, the Qielay courtyard, the 0 Hall, the Zhua Ka Mountain God Temple, the tea house, the Tanhua Buddha, and nine other monk residences. The double-eaved hip-and-gable main hall, the largest structure in the temple, covers an area of over two acres, stands four stories tall, and is entirely made of wood. Its intricate carvings and vivid paintings blend harmoniously with the scenic beauty of Songduotang, forming a picturesque scene.
