Huzhu County Wufeng Mountain Wufeng Mountain is located in Wufeng Township, Huzhu County, Qinghai Province, about 40 kilometers from Xining City. At an elevation of 2,800 meters, it gets its name from the five peaks that rise like an upturned palm. The mountain is covered with tall trees such as pines and poplars, along with numerous shrubs. In spring and summer, the mountain is lush and green, while in late autumn, it bursts into a riot of colors, offering a delightful sight. On the mountainside, there are three caves connected by small paths. Below the caves lies the Chenghua Spring. The spring water cascades down the rocky cliffs from the mountainside, forming a waterfall that is one of the mountain’s major attractions. The mountain is also home to Wufeng Temple, one of the well-known temples in the region. Every year on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, the “Hua’er Festival” is held, drawing crowds and filling the hillsides with singing and traditional cultural entertainment rich in ethnic flavor.
