Langshidang Scenic Area

Langshidang Scenic Area is situated in the northeastern part of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County and is the core area of the Qilian Mountain Scenic Belt. It lies 110 kilometers from the provincial capital Xining and 220 kilometers from Lanzhou City. As a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, national forest park, and national geological park, it is also Qinghai’s first self-drive camp. The scenic area spans a total area of 1,127 square kilometers, with an altitude ranging from 2,100 to 4,308 meters and a forest stock volume of 4.2886 million cubic meters.

According to testing by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the negative oxygen ion content here reaches between 3,300 and 30,000 per cubic meter, making it a natural oxygen bar bestowed by nature. The scenic area is nestled within the towering Qilian Mountains, at the transitional zone from the Hexi Corridor to the Tibetan Plateau, featuring an intact natural landscape system and lush forests.
