The Tianyoude Liquor Workshop is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

As the most heritage-rich premium product of Qinghai Huzhu Highland Barley Liquor Co., Ltd., Tianyoude Highland Barley Liquor boasts a history spanning several centuries. The “Tianyoude” brand originated from the “Tianyoude” Liquor Workshop, one of the eight renowned distilleries in Huzhu County during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. During the Ming and Qing periods, there was a tradition in Huzhu of making liquor from highland barley using traditional methods. With social development, the brewing techniques were further refined, and the renowned “Tianyoude,” “Yiyonghe,” “Shiyide,” and other major distilleries gradually established themselves in Weiyuan Town, forming powerful and widely known workshops. They gained fame both in China and abroad for producing fragrant, mellow, and refreshing highland barley liquor.

In May 2013, the Tianyoude Liquor Workshop was listed as part of the seventh group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
