Nan Village Qingcheng Temple

Nan Village Qingcheng Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Yuanping City.

Nan Village Qingcheng Temple is located in Nan Village, Guoyang Town, Yuanping City. It faces south with its back to the north, stretching 23 meters from east to west and 45 meters from north to south, covering an area of 1,035 square meters. The year of its establishment is unknown. According to inscriptions on the beams, it was rebuilt in the 18th year of the Hongzhi era of the Ming Dynasty (1505) and renovated in the 3rd year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1798). The existing structures feature Ming Dynasty architectural style. Along the central axis are the main hall and the mountain gate, flanked by a bell tower and a drum tower. The main hall stands on a stone foundation, featuring a six-rafter front corridor structure with a depth of five rafters and a single-eave suspended gable roof. Inside the hall are three stone Buddha statues of Guanyin, Manjushri, and Samantabhadra, each standing 1.7 meters tall. The bell tower houses an iron bell cast in the 8th year of the Chenghua era of the Ming Dynasty (1472). Content excerpted from ("Xinzhou Cultural Relics Collection").
