Zhongzhuang Site

The Zhongzhuang Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Zhongzhuang Site is located about 500 meters west of Zhongzhuang Village, Zhongyang Township, Yuanping City, and borders a seasonal river to the south. It stretches approximately 300 meters from east to west and 300 meters from north to south, covering an area of 90,000 square meters. The cultural layer is 0.3 to 1 meter thick. Artifacts collected from the surface include gray pottery feet and fragments from the Longshan Culture, characterized by rope-patterned designs. Zhongzhuang Village: Zhongzhuang Village in Zhongyang Township, Yuanping City, is situated 18 kilometers along the former Baotou–Yinchuan Highway in the northeastern part of Yuanping City. It lies east of Wufeng Mountain and west of the Hutuo River, in a hilly region. The village has a population of 398 people, over 130 households, and a total of 204 laborers. The village covers more than 2,200 mu of land in total, with over 1,900 mu under cultivation and approximately 1,600 mu actually planted. Among these, 500 mu are orchard land. Although the land here is not particularly fertile, featuring undulating layers and numerous gullies, it is home to hardworking and kind-hearted people who have continuously improved their production conditions in pursuit of survival.
