Beisulu Grandmother Temple

Beisulu Grandmother Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Yuanping City.

Beisulu Grandmother Temple is located at the school in Beisulu Village, Dalin Township, Yuanping City. Its construction date is unknown. The central axis currently features a mountain gate and the main hall. According to an inscription on the main hall’s beam, it was renovated in the 37th year of the Kangxi reign (1698). The existing structure exhibits clear architectural characteristics of the Ming Dynasty, indicating that it is a relic from that period. The temple faces south and has a single-courtyard layout. The main hall is built on a brick-and-stone platform, measuring 11.4 meters in east-west length and 7.7 meters in north-south width, with a total floor area of 87.8 square meters. It features a three-bay width, a four-rafter depth, and a five-purlin front corridor structure. The roof is a single-eave flush gable (originally a suspended gable). Approximately 7 square meters of murals remain on each of the left and right side walls of the main hall. The site is currently used by Beisulu School.

This is Beisulu Village in Dalin Township. The village covers an area of about 150 acres, with 181 households and a population of 500. In 2010, the per capita income was 4,040 yuan.
