Star Scenic Area
Introduction: The Star Scenic Area is located on the western shore of Fuxian Lake, at the border between Jiangchuan County and Chengjiang County. It is 12 kilometers from Luchong. About a hundred meters west of the road from Chengjiang to Jiangchuan stands Biyun Mountain. Visitors can climb 499 stone steps from the foot of the mountain and make 36 turns to reach Biyun Temple, also known as the Wudang Branch. The temple mostly features Taoist-style ancient architecture. Every year on the third day of the third lunar month, the temple holds a temple fair, attracting many visitors from central Yunnan. Transportation: Take a bus from Kunming East Bus Station bound for Jiangchuan, get off at Jiangcheng, then transfer to a bus heading for Chengjiang and get off at Xingxing.
