Heshun Foguang Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Foguang Temple is located on the northern peak of Yunlong Mountain, a scenic national forest park in the western part of Heshun County. Covering an area of over 10,000 square meters with a built-up area of 7,000 square meters, the temple broke ground in July 2008 and was completed on August 1st of this year. It was newly constructed with investment from Chen Laigui, a private entrepreneur from Heshun County.

The entire architecture of Foguang Temple follows the "Seven Halls of the Monastery" layout of Tang Dynasty Zen Buddhist temples. All structures are built with a brick-and-wood structure, comprising a total of 28 halls, pavilions, towers, terraces, corridors, and ornamental gates. The architectural design allows the surrounding mountains, pine trees, temple buildings, and scenic spots to complement one another, achieving a seamless integration of classical-style architecture and natural landscapes.

The reliefs and colorful paintings both inside and outside the halls are a major highlight of the temple, vividly reflecting the fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and folk culture. Each uniquely shaped and vividly depicted painting and carving—such as Deer and Crane in Spring, Bodhidharma Crossing the River, Jiang Taigong Fishing, and Heavenly Maidens Scattering Flowers—brings to life themes of natural scenery, historical allusions, and mythological legends.
