Zunyi Zoo

Zunyi Zoo is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Located in Changzheng Town, Honghuagang District, Zunyi City, Zunyi Zoo covers an area of 310 acres and is divided into four zones: the waterfront area, the landscape area, the animal exhibition area, and the mountain greening area, with a total investment of 23 million yuan. The area features high mountains, hills, gentle slopes, depressions, and reservoirs, offering prominent geographical advantages. It is a specialized park mainly for animal viewing and also a typical mountain park. The entire zoo centers around a lake and mountain terrain, with a landmark observation tower in the middle. Visitors can approach the mountaintop from different directions to enjoy various panoramic views of the surrounding area. It serves as a youth science education base in Zunyi City, a national AAA-level tourist attraction, and a science education base in Guizhou Province.

Zunyi Zoo displays over 100 animal species, totaling more than 400 individuals, including more than 10 species of national first-class protected animals and over 20 species of national second-class protected wildlife. Major exhibited animals include kangaroos, African lions, Siberian tigers, leopards, black panthers, Tibetan blue bears, Francois' langurs, and reticulated pythons. The zoo has also hosted rare animals on loan such as giant pandas and Asian elephants.
