The “2017 Sanmin Mountain Town Poinsettia Light Festival” combines themes such as poinsettia installation art, large-scale architectural light shows, street parades, specialty floral art markets, and mini-travel experiences. The event lasts for a month, with the biggest highlights being a 45-meter-long “Pathway of Happiness” and the largest poinsettia Christmas tree in the country. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Kikuo Pai Church, Pillow Mountain, and the Sanmin Shopping District during the festival.

The 6-meter-tall poinsettia Christmas tree, paired with the 45-meter-long “Pathway of Happiness” light tunnel, and the cultural heritage site Kikuo Pai Old Church, create a dazzling scene against the dark mountain town. The church is also beautifully decorated, transforming into a starry sky park at night.
