The “2017 Sanmin Mountain Town Red Flower Light Festival” combines themes such as poinsettia installation art, large-scale architectural light shows, street parades, specialty floral art markets, and mini-travel experiences. The event lasts for a month, and its biggest highlights include a 45-meter-long “Pathway of Happiness” and the nation’s largest poinsettia Christmas tree. Visitors to the festival can also explore nearby attractions such as Kikuo Pai Church, Pillow Mountain, and the Sanmin Shopping District.

The 6-meter-tall poinsettia Christmas tree, paired with a 45-meter-long “Sea of Lights Tunnel” known as the Pathway of Happiness, and the cultural heritage site Kikuo Pai Old Church, create a dazzling scene against the dark mountain town. The church is also beautifully decorated, transforming into a starry sky park within the mountain city at night.
