Steep Cliff of Biyun Cave

The cliff is 100 meters high and about 700 meters wide, almost vertical to the ground. It is divided into an eastern cliff and a western cliff. The eastern cliff is 367 meters long and connected to the western cliff via 520 stone steps. The western cliff is extremely precipitous, featuring from bottom to top an archway, rock terrace, winding path, Lingzhi Cliff, Sky Ladder, Lingyun Cave, plank walk, Cloud Cliff, and Immortal Spring Cave, among others. With its stunning scenery and exceptionally steep terrain, it has been praised as: “Sit in the Toad Palace, drink osmanthus wine, gaze at the blue sea and clear sky, and watch the clouds race through the cosmos; meet in the Jade Pool, feast on peaches of immortality, overlook the silver river and violet skies, and gaze at the sun and moon wandering through space.”
