At the foot of Niupeng Liangzi Mountain lies a natural lake over 2 kilometers long and more than 300 meters wide, shaped like a narrow strip and commonly known as Changhaizi. The lake surface sits at an elevation of 2,560 meters, with a water storage capacity of over 1.2 million cubic meters, making it the highest-altitude lake in Guizhou. Three relatively large streams flow into the lake year-round from the high grasslands. The lake water remains clear all year round, surrounded by gentle meadows. It’s an ideal spot for leisure where you can admire towering snow-capped mountains and enjoy the serene sight of cattle and sheep grazing on the grassland. With its azure waters, blue skies, and vast pastures, it’s truly a heavenly scene.
