Xiaoshanpo Paleontological Fossil Site
The Xiaoshanpo Paleontological Fossil Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Fenxi County.
The Xiaoshanpo Paleontological Fossil Site is located in Xiaoshanpo Village, Xingjiayao Township, Fenxi County. It dates back to the Paleolithic Age and falls under the category of stone carvings and other relics.
It stretches approximately 200 meters from north to south and about 100 meters from east to west, covering an area of 20,000 square meters. One tree trunk fossil and two locations of marine mollusk fossils have been discovered here.
The Xiaoshanpo Paleontological Fossil Site is a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.
Protected area: Bounded by the relic itself, extending 100 meters outward to the east, south, west, and north. It measures approximately 462 meters from north to south and 272 meters from east to west, covering an area of 125,714 square meters. Construction control zone: Bounded by the protected area, extending 200 meters outward to the east, south, west, and north. It measures approximately 863 meters from north to south and 673 meters from east to west, covering an area of 579,942 square meters.
