Xingyi Peach Blossom Valley
Peach Blossom Valley is located in Lühua Village, Dingxiao Development Zone. In 1997, under the leadership of then-village head Yang Mingquan, Lühua Village pioneered the path to prosperity through peach cultivation. Over the past ten years, every household in the village has planted peaches, covering an area of 17,462 mu. Stepping into Peach Blossom Valley, you’ll see a riot of blooming peach blossoms that resemble an endless sea of flowers, creating a delightful and uplifting experience. The village sells over 2.4 million jin of peaches annually, generating an income of more than 6.6 million yuan. Today, the per capita income of the village reaches 4,200 yuan (with over 2,500 yuan from peach cultivation alone), and the village’s fixed assets exceed 5 million yuan. Dingxiao Subdistrict: Located northeast of Xingyi City, 11 km from the city center. It covers an area of 107.7 square kilometers, administers 2 neighborhood committees and 14 administrative villages, with a total population of 36,000. In 2000, it was listed among the “Top Ten Strong Townships in Qianxinan Prefecture” by the Qianxinan Prefecture Government. The subdistrict is home to the national scenic area of Maling River Gorge. It features ancient cultural relics such as the “Xingyi Man” site and the world-famous “Guizhou Dragon” fossils, as well as the thousand-year-old banyan tree in Mabie, and traditional ethnic festivals like the Buyi “Zhabei Song Festival.” It also has the Dingxiao River, Louba River, and numerous streams.
