Nanlong Buyi Ancient Village

Nanlong Buyi Ancient Village is located by Wanfeng Lake in Bajie Town, Xingyi City. It is said to have a history of over 600 years, with more than 160 residences all built as "stilt-style" stilted houses. The village has over 360 large banyan trees, lush and evergreen all year round. Among them, 108 trees are over 500 years old, featuring diverse forms—some standing alone as a forest, some forming natural bridges, some embracing each other... With their unique shapes, the scenery is quite extraordinary. The local Buyi villagers are skilled in singing and dancing, and still preserve distinctive traditional folk arts such as Buyi Eight-Tone Seated Singing and Buyi Opera. Buyi women continue to weave cloth using traditional looms.
