The Pear Blossom Stream is located between Liyuan Village, Ma’an Village, and Dengshuang Wenfeng Village in Yongshang Town, about 3,000 meters from the county seat of Xinjin. When spring arrives, “thousands upon thousands of pear trees burst into bloom,” creating a sea of blossoms as white as clouds and snow. The area features winding paths through serene groves, lush bamboo thickets, shaded woods, babbling streams, gurgling springs, and rugged rocks. Its tranquil and refreshing environment is like a paradise on earth, making it a perfect destination for enjoying spring, summer retreats, and autumn scenery, immersing yourself in nature. It is also the closest natural scenic area to a major city in the heart of the Western Sichuan Plain.

Especially attractive is the Wuyou Temple located on Baiyun Mountain in Wenfeng Village within the scenic area. Wuyou Temple was founded during the Tang Dynasty, and by the time of the liberation, only one hall remained. It has now been expanded to include four main halls and dozens of guest rooms dedicated to housing visitors who come from afar for medical treatment. The newly built Guanyin Hall is tall and majestic, enshrining the Goddess of Mercy (Guanyin) and her thirty-two manifestations. The temple has gained widespread fame due to the miraculous healing skills of its abbot, Venerable Master Renxiang, attracting crowds of people seeking medical help and offering incense every day.

The Pear Blossom Stream is essentially a natural grove of pear trees, and it has now become a popular leisure spot for Chengdu residents in spring. In addition to the pear orchard, there are many farmhouse restaurants to choose from. There was no special planning here—these trees were planted randomly by earlier generations just so their families could have pears to eat. Gradually, it turned into this expansive pear tree forest.
