Xingyi Town

Within Xingyi Town, there are four major attractions: Water Town Greenway, Cai Pengzi Forest Farm, Xianzhu Temple, and Banzhulin.

The Water Town Greenway is located along the vast Yangma River. Discarded sleepers filled with sand and gravel form a train track, complemented by rest pavilions of unique design built using traditional bamboo weaving techniques from Xingyi, flanked by traditional homes of western Sichuan and a clear river.

To preserve the material carriers of farming culture, the Minjiang Community in Xingyi Town has specifically created "Cai Pengzi Forest Farm" for people to visit and remember.

Xianzhu Temple is located in Xiansi Village, Xingyi Town, about 10 kilometers from the county town. It is said to be the site where Liu Bei, the founding emperor of the Shu Han dynasty, prayed for rain. Later generations built a temple here in his honor, known as Xianzhu Temple. It was renovated multiple times during the Kangxi and Qianlong eras of the Qing Dynasty. Every year from the 20th to the 22nd of the first lunar month is the temple fair period, during which worshippers from across Sichuan gather here, and performance troupes and circus groups from various regions come to showcase their skills.

Banzhulin in Xianhe Forest Park is situated along the Yangma River, about 9 kilometers from the county town and 0.5 kilometers from the town government. The Banzhulin bamboo forest was planted in the late Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1760 AD) and now covers an area of over 50 acres. The forest is lush with bamboo, densely populated with spotted bamboo and nan bamboo, and home to many towering "living fossils"—the nationally protected rare tree species, ginkgo trees, some of which are over a hundred years old.
