Huayuan Town

Ancient Shu Huayuan, a town of culture. Historically the imperial garden of the Ming Dynasty’s Shu King, Huayuan earned its name as the “source of flowers.” The Shang and Zhou ruins at Liuhe Village, the ancient Qushang City on Muma Mountain, the Sui and Tang cliff sites at Baiyun Ferry, and the century-old Baiyun Temple have all contributed to Huayuan’s rich historical heritage. Historical figures such as Zhang Shangying, prime minister of the Northern Song Dynasty, imperial censor Zhang Tangying, Ci Xi’s personal chef Wang Haiquan, “Sichuan cuisine master” Luo Guorong, and national-level culinary master Huang Ziyun further showcase the profound historical and cultural essence of Huayuan.

The undulating Muma Mountain stands close to the town, while the clear-flowing Jinma River and Liuyang River run through it. The area thrives in real estate development, positioning itself as a “European-style town.” Here you can visit high-end, elegant low-density residential communities, check out beautiful new housing developments, and even consider property investment if it suits you. The Baiyun Temple by the Liuyang River in town is also a great spot to visit. When tired, take a relaxing stroll in the wetland park.

With its beautiful natural environment, convenient transportation, and efficient government services, a large number of major industrial projects have settled in Huayuan. A mature cluster of high-end, low-density communities has taken shape; modern urban agriculture showcasing the forest-farmstead culture of western Sichuan is taking form; and the successive entry of chain supermarkets such as Beijing Lianhua, Hongqi, Hongyan, and Huhui is gradually heating up the modern commercial sector.
